Signed to Elton John’s Rocket Records in 1977, Judie Tzuke went on to achieve huge critical and commercial success, recording 16 studio albums in a career spanning over 30 years. In 2004 her classic song ‘Stay with Me till Dawn’ was sampled by Mylo for his track “Need You Tonite”, as featured on his hit album Destroy Rock and Roll.
In 1982 Tzuke joined a new label, Chrysalis Records, completed a 57-date tour of the UK and rounded it off with a headline performance at the Glastonbury Festival. By the end of 1985, Tzuke was the 5th best-selling British female singer of the first half of the 1980s.
In recent years, Tzuke’s songwriting skills have been much in demand, and she has collaborated with, contributed vocals to and co-written with artists ranging from Gareth Gates to Morcheeba. Sounding like a cross between Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks, Tzuke is the prefect open-top road trip accompaniment. Valentine Music are proud to publish songs such as ‘Both Alone’ ‘The Choices You’ve Made’ and the magnanimous ‘Welcome to the Cruise.’
