Darius gets set to play numerous jazz festivals this Summer.
On the 31st there is a very special program, ‘Brubeck Plays Brubeck” at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. Darius’ brother Dan (a virtuoso drummer) flies in from Vancouver to accompany Darius as does Alec Dankworth, who was a member of the Dave Brubeck Quartet in the ‘90s. The line-up will also feature Alan Barnes on sax. This is part of the venue’s 50th anniversary series and of course celebrates Time Out and Take Five which were also ‘born’ in 1959.
