Following on from some great recent placements for Dave Brubeck’s music in feature films, we were delighted to place this song, ‘Good Reviews’ in a recent commercial for Ford for Ogilvy London. The TV ad focusses on the Focus with EcoBoost engine, and comments that Ford’s engineers are very proud of their ‘good reviews’. The song is from a 1961 jazz musical created by Dave Brubeck called The Real Ambassadors, which featured a host of jazz talent. The ‘Real Ambassadors’ on this track are primarily Louis Armstrong and His Band, with the vocals of Carmen McRae. Good Reviews is available to download from iTunes.
